As unidades do Hospital VITA, localizadas em Curitiba – na Linha Verde Norte e no Batel, acabam de receber a renovação do selo de participação no Programa Brasileiro de Segurança do Paciente. Trata-se de uma comunidade formada por 180 instituições de saúde que têm como objetivo assumir o papel de multiplicadores das boas práticas e da cultura da segurança, além de melhorar os cuidados de saúde.
O programa é reconhecido pela Agência Nacional de Saúde Suplementar (ANS) e a entidade gestora é o IQG – Instituto Qualisa de Gestão (Health Services Accreditation). O instituto coordena a iniciativa junto com organizações mundiais como o Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI), Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), Patient Safety Crosswalk, Accreditation Canadá e visa desenvolver o tema segurança do paciente nas organizações de saúde e sociedade.
A comunidade de líderes tem o compromisso de mudar a forma de prestar cuidados de saúde. As instituições multiplicadoras visam criar melhorias inovadoras de qualidade e segurança do paciente, trocar indicadores e apoiar tecnicamente os outros hospitais participantes. “Cada multiplicador torna-se referência de outras cinco instituições integrantes, criando um verdadeiro mini-network dentro da rede global do PBSP, concedendo ao programa uma estrutura piramidal e descentralizada”, explica a médica infectologista Marta Fragoso, coordenadora do Núcleo de Gestão de Segurança Assistencial do Hospital VITA em Curitiba.
As duas unidades VITA de Curitiba, que são pioneiras no Paraná em integrar o grupo do PBSP, enviam dados de benchmarking em protocolos de segurança do paciente, participando de educação continuada em melhores práticas assistenciais, compartilhando experiências de sucesso com outras instituições.
