Evento irá selecionar 27 artistas, que serão premiados com o valor total de R$ 225 mil
A 64ª edição do Salão Paranaense, realizado pela Secretaria de Estado da Cultura (SEEC), está com inscrições abertas até 20 de julho. Serão selecionados 25 artistas para exporem suas obras durante o evento, sendo que cinco participam por meio de indicação de um comitê curatorial. Outras duas pessoas receberão o prêmio residência artística. O Salão Paranaense é um dos principais eventos de artes plásticas do país e será realizado de 29 de novembro de 2012 a 28 de abril de 2013, no Museu de Arte Contemporânea (MAC).
Podem participar artistas brasileiros e estrangeiros que residam legalmente no Brasil, com idade igual ou superior a 18 anos. O regulamento e a ficha de inscrição estão disponíveis no site da
SEEC (www.cultura.pr.gov.br).
Cada artista selecionado recebe um prêmio de participação no valor de R$ 7 mil. Serão contemplados dois participantes com o prêmio aquisição, no valor de R$ 20 mil reais. Os artistas convidados pelo comitê curatorial recebem R$ 4 mil. Serão escolhidos ainda dois artistas com o prêmio residência artística, sendo um em Curitiba e outro em Londrina, no valor de R$ 12,5 mil. As residências serão de cinco dias úteis para desenvolvimento de obra experimental em ateliê livre, sob coorientação de um artista residente no Paraná.
O comitê curatorial será constituído por cinco membros de reconhecida atuação na área das artes visuais, nomeados pela SEEC, sendo dois paranaenses ou residentes no Paraná há mais de cinco anos e três de outros estados.
Salão Paranaense:
O objetivo do evento é mostrar a produção, fomentar a discussão, promover o conhecimento e a valorização da arte contemporânea, selecionando, convidando e premiando 25 artistas visuais.
O Salão Paranaense foi criado em 1944 e passou a ser realizado pelo Museu de Arte Contemporânea, unidade da SEEC, desde 1970. Em 2005 o evento se tornou bienal, ampliou a área de abrangência e instituiu prêmios a todos os artistas selecionados e convidados. Desde sua concepção original, o Salão acolhe propostas que apontam novos caminhos para as artes visuais.
