****Hoje está reservado para conhecer as dependências do Restaurante Ayza- sabores de origem, que tem abertura oficial para convidados, na Sete de Setembro. Em seus 1.200 metros de àrea construída, o Ayza possuí três salões com 150 lugares, uma área de eventos para até 130 pessoas, uma charutaria, um bar e a loja exclusiva da Reserva Austral. ****O ex-presidente Itamar Franco teve uma curta, e bem sucedida trajetório frente ao governo do Brasil- não se deve esquecer que Fernando Henrique Cardoso iniciou a estabilização econômica no País como ministro naquele período. Entre outros episódios, vale lembrar a visita de Itamar Franco ao Uruguai. Na primeira delas, quando foi recebido pelo presidente Alberto Lacage, o embaixador Jorge Ribeiro e Inez Pelegrini Ribeiro estavam à frente da embaixada do Brasil em Montevidéu. Foi uma passagem bem sucedida que este colunista teve a oportunidade de divulgar.
****O então presidente do Brasil voltou ao Uruguai para uma reunião dos quatro mandatários do Mercosul na cidade de Sacramento. Com a programação encerrada, contava ainda com um compromisso: um churrasco na Estância Anchorena, antiga propriedade rural de uma família poderosa e que passou ao acervo do governo uruguaio. A senhorial morada reuniria os quatro presidentes e suas comitivas para uma comemoração oficial. Itamar Franco declinou o convite e preferiu almoçar discretamente num dos tantos restaurantes da simpática cidade, de acordo com sua preferência pela informalidade.
